Step into a wild coastal landscape where towering icebergs float past and whales glide through the waters. Leave the noise of everyday life behind and soak in the vast, untamed beauty of Newfoundland’s Atlantic shores

Itinerary

Arrive in St. John's and begin exploring the colorful streets and harborfront of this historic coastal city. Walk along Cobbler's Path, where rugged cliffs and ocean views offer a perfect introduction to Newfoundland’s wild coastline. Head up to Battery Village Lookout for panoramic views over the harbor and hillside homes. Continue to Cape Spear, the easternmost point of North America, where dramatic cliffs meet the open Atlantic. Take in the powerful scenery and the vastness of the ocean stretching to the horizon.
Start the day with a boat tour along the coastline in search of icebergs and whales drifting through the Atlantic waters—one of the region’s most iconic experiences. Continue to Terra Nova National Park, where forested trails and quiet inlets offer a peaceful contrast to the open sea. End the day at Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve, home to thousands of nesting seabirds. Walk along the cliffs and watch gannets gather on towering sea stacks rising from the ocean.
Travel toward Twillingate, known for its rugged coastline and iceberg-filled waters. Visit the scenic Long Point Lighthouse, offering sweeping ocean views from high coastal cliffs. Continue to Spiller's Cove, where dramatic rock formations and crashing waves create a striking landscape. Make the way to Fogo Island and explore its unique coastal scenery. Walk along Sandy Cove Beach, known for its distinctive rock formations and rugged shoreline. Stop by Squish Studio, a modern artist studio that contrasts beautifully with the island’s raw natural surroundings.
Begin the day at Cape Bonavista Lighthouse Provincial Historic Site, where expansive ocean views and historic charm come together. Stop in Elliston, known for its traditional root cellars and as one of the best places to see puffins from land. Walk along the coastal cliffs and watch for these seabirds nesting on the offshore rocks, often visible just a short distance away during the season, making for a rare and memorable wildlife experience. Hike the stunning Skerwink Trail, where cliffs, sea stacks, and sweeping ocean views make it one of the most scenic trails in the region. Continue to the Tickle Cove Sea Arch, a natural rock arch shaped by the relentless force of the sea. Return to St. John’s in the evening, bringing the Newfoundland adventure to a close.
